This room is stunning in its simplicity and modern design. It is free from clutter and has a very limited color palette. The bed is white, the bedding is black and gray, and the walls and floor are gray. The designer accented the room with a simple wooden bowl (which matches the underside of the bed) and what looks to be a wooden night table.

As we can see here, you can mix black decor with brown wood furniture and end up with a stylish room. The designer achieved a modern look, with the geometric shape of the bed and decor providing clean lines. The bedding and rug are simple and solid black. The designer used a striped area rug and a wall hanging to bring some detailing to the room.

The design of this black bedroom is very elegant, yet simple. The bedroom furniture is sophisticated, with a baroque pattern in the front panels. This pattern is also seen in the bedding. The window treatments are simple; the designer chose sheer white panels and opaque black panels. Black and white wall art adorn the walls and black table lamps rest on the night tables.

In fashion, we’ve always heard “Never mix black and brown!” Recently, the fashion industry has all but eliminated that trope, and we are beginning to see it in design as well. Designer Vern Yip mixed brown wood and leather with black bedding and walls and achieved the ultimate color collaboration. Red accent pillows complete the look.

The designer of this bedroom chose to use purple as an accent color, and it works well here. The furniture is black and white and mod, while the bedding and decor are purple. The room could have taken on a sterile quality, but the designer used a wall decal to break up the modern lines and add some detailing to the space.
